Hi friend, We all have areas of growth and shit to work on. It’s easy to see someone else’s shit and think, Damn, they really need to work on that. And maybe they do. But here’s the thing: it’s not just them. It’s not just you. It’s ALL of us. Every single person you know has something they’re working through. Some people are aware of it. Some people aren’t there yet. Some people are actively working on themselves, and some people are avoiding their shit like it’s their full-time job. 😂 But none of that is your responsibility. And at the same time, it’s worth remembering that you’re not the only one who’s got it all figured out. Because you don’t. Neither do I. Neither does the person who annoys the hell out of you. Neither does the person you admire. Neither does the person who seems like they have the perfect relationship, perfect life, perfect emotional regulation, and somehow always remembers to drink enough water. Everybody’s got something. So work on your shit. Let other people work on theirs. Give yourself some grace while you’re at it, and maybe extend a little grace to the people around you, too. Because, remember... EVERYBODY. EVERYBODY. EVERYBODY! 😂🕺 Coach Jose 💛

Hi friend, One of the biggest “traps” of being a therapist—and honestly, this is probably true of a lot of jobs—is giving so much of yourself at work that there’s not enough left of you when you get home. As therapists, we spend our days listening, holding space, caring, problem-solving, empathizing, and showing up for people who need us. That’s meaningful work! But it can also be exhausting work. And sometimes, without even realizing it, we can start giving away so much of our emotional and...
Hi friend, I'm keeping the more personal sharing rolling this week! I wanted to share one of my favorite breakfasts with you. Growing up, my mom would consistently make me and my brother gallo pinto with a fried egg for breakfast. Child, it really is one of my favorite breakfasts. 😂 Some meals just feel like home, no matter how simple they are. The foods we ate in our childhood carry core memories of where we come from. They connect you to your culture and to the version of yourself that...
Hi friend, I've been sharing a bit more personally over on Instagram lately. If you've ever wanted to peek behind my usual content and see my husband, my dogs, and what I get up to over a long, holiday weekend, you should check it out!I want my spaces on the internet to be a place where you feel safe and seen. Because when I was younger, I had to learn to read other people before I read myself, and over time this narrowed my range and kept me from choosing my own clarity. What changed wasn’t...
