Getting real with you guys

Hi friend,

I've been sharing a bit more personally over on Instagram lately. If you've ever wanted to peek behind my usual content and see my husband, my dogs, and what I get up to over a long, holiday weekend, you should check it out!

I want my spaces on the internet to be a place where you feel safe and seen. Because when I was younger, I had to learn to read other people before I read myself, and over time this narrowed my range and kept me from choosing my own clarity.

What changed wasn’t confidence in the loud or performative sense. It was learning how to stay present when things felt uncomfortable, and discovering that I could trust myself to respond rather than brace or disappear.

I wish these things for you too, this week, and always.

Coach Jose 💛

Make sure you're following me on Instagram so you're up-to-date with all the content I'm making for you. I hope it's helpful, relatable, and inspiring!

Hi friend, You're probably familiar with this feeling: You've made plans. You said "I'll be there," but then that I-do-want-to-go feeling hits. But I want to remind you that the decision doesn't have to be black or white. Because you're a complicated human. It's normal to be tired and still want to see your friends. You can stay home and...

Hi friend, If you're one of those people who feels like you always have to be doing something, we might have a problem. However, I don't want you to swing the complete opposite direction. Don't do nothing! Instead, give yourself a little bit more room before your automatic habit to be productive takes over. Here are the two questions you can ask yourself when you have the urge to be productive for productivity's sake: What happens if I don't do the thing? What am I working toward? Take a...

Hi friend, Here's some hard truth: Sometimes we mess up, and sometimes other peoples' feedback about us is right. We were late. We got defensive. We weren't listening. We hurt someone else. We need to own these mistakes. But, at the same time, be careful not to let, "I fucked up," become, "I'm a fuck up." ...becuase you're not!Talking about 1) what happened and 2) who you are are very different things. You can fuck something up, take responsibility for it, apologize, learn something, and still...
